When I received the product in the mail it came in an average United States Postal service package and I was not expecting the high gloss high quality product I found inside. The packaging looked better than most of the things I buy at the store. There was an instruction manual which broke down the 2 different components of the Electronic Cigarette and the way I was to operate it. It was so easy I trust that my dog could use one if he had hands and thumbs lol. After assembling the electronic cigarette I took my first puff and I was astonished to say the least. It really was just like smoking! I could feel the vapor in my lungs and the nicotine getting in my system just like I was really smoking. The taste of the electronic cigarettes nicotine solution vapor was so similar to tobacco I couldn’t believe it. It was a little bit sweeter but as a pack a day smoker that was actually a nice addition to the electronic cigarette. It took about 30 seconds for me to become so excited by this new gadget that I couldn’t help but try to find some people to show it to. I called my friend Rob and went directly to a bar where him and I had a few drinks and started smoking everywhere. At first the bartender came up to us and told us we couldn’t smoke in the bar but after I explained to her that it was an electronic cigarette and showed her the way it worked she let us keep smoking everywhere in the bar. Actually it was a great icebreaker with a couple girls there who wanted to give it a try but that’s really beside the point. I can’t tell you how nice it was to be able to smoke inside again. Rather than having to stop a game of pool or go stand outside in the freezing cold I was able to stay warm keep playing and smoke all at the same time. The next day I brought my electronic cigarette with me to work. I realized I had left the additional cartridges at home once I got there and was worried the thing would run out of vapor but amazingly the one cartridge I had put on it the night before was still kicking. I was also a little worried that even though you clearly stated that there was no odor someone might be able to smell it. By this time however I had come to trust the Electronic Cigarette a little more and so I decided I was willing to risk it, plus it was 2 hours until I was going to be able to go outside and smoke again so that was another factor. So I took the electronic cigarette into the bathroom with me went into the stall and took about 7 or 8 drags. I tried the best I could to smell to see if there was in fact any odor and then all the sudden my boss who is always complaining that I smell like smoke came in. …. And left…. Once again you guys were right. My electronic cigarettes had no smell. The electronic cigarettes were not ever going to set off a smoke detector. I really could start smoking everywhere. No more waiting for breaks at work was like a gift from god. I can’t tell you how happy I am and how much better my days at work go because I have electronic cigarettes and am smoking everywhere. Since I have had an electronic cigarette I truly am smoking everywhere too. You guys really must be smokers because I do every last thing on that list and more. I smoke in movie theaters and blow the smoke under my chair. Well to be honest I have become a little lazy with hiding it. One would assume, that rather than just running away with their tail between their legs, that big tobacco would begin manufacturing and selling electronic cigarettes themselves but so far none of the big tobacco companies have any electronic cigarettes on the market. For the past decade public opinion on smoking has deteriorated at a rate that only certain US presidents could contend with. Tobacco companies' lack of popularity, and the impending doom that they offer their users, have left an enormous void in the marketplace. Over 15 billion dollars a day is spent in the US on cigarettes. If every smoker decided to stop smoking traditional cigarettes and began smoking everywhere with the electronic cigarette that number would be cut in half - at the least. The reason for this huge decline would be because electronic cigarettes are significantly cheaper than traditional cigarettes. This comes as a huge shocker because most of the time anything with the words "new" and "electronic" in the same sentence usually means expensive. In this case, however, it is just the opposite. In the letter, the governor made the following comments.
"I am returning Senate Bill 400 without my signature. While I support restricting access of electronic cigarettes to children under the age of 18, I cannot sign a measure that also declares e-cigs a federally regulated drug. Items defined as "tobacco products" are legal for anyone over the age of 18. If adults want to purchase and consume these products with an understanding of the associated health risks, they should be able to do so unless and until federal law changes the legal status of these tobacco products. For this reason, I am unable to sign this bill. Sincerely, Electronic cigarettes very recently appeared on the scene and became increasingly popular as anti-smoking laws were enacted across the country.
